How is Regenesis different from a regular therapy session?

They may seem very similar, but there’s one key difference. A therapy session is a conversation — you talk through a problem or how you’re feeling. Regenesis is a process where, instead of discussing the problem, you revisit the experience that created it, relive it, and change the way you relate to it.

Therapy Session

The explanation below will help you understand how my approach differs from a traditional therapy session.

A therapy session:

- is, first and foremost, a conversation. Through that conversation, you can gain important insights, begin to see the connections between events and their causes, and discover things about yourself and your life that you may not have seen before — ultimately helping you make meaningful changes in your life.
- also gives you the perspective of a psychologist — an outside perspective on your situation from someone who has no stake in pushing you toward any particular choice.
- is generally a calm, gradual process. It doesn’t involve the same level of deep immersion or intense transformation, although powerful insights can still happen.

What people most often come to therapy with:

1. I don’t know who I am or what I want.
2. Help me change my partner. Or my parents. Or my boss. Or my kids.
3. I want things to go back to the way they were.
4. I went to see a doctor, and they referred me to a psychologist.
5. I want to know the right way to live. Teach me.

Duration: 60 min

I don't offer therapy sessions. However, I do help people work through the challenges above using different methods and tools.

Fill out a short form and I'll tell you what would actually fit you.

- is an active, hands-on process. A Regenesis session requires you to be fully engaged in the work, rather than the slower pace of a traditional therapy session.

-     during a Regenesis session, problems aren't discussed, they're worked through. That means you need to come to the session already aware of the issue, the destructive reaction, or the emotion you want to change.

- can address in one or two sessions what might otherwise take dozens of therapy sessions of talking through painful material. By working with the deeper layers of the psyche, we go to the root of the problem, the negative pattern, or the behavior. Once that root gives way, the pattern it was holding up can change too, and a new way forward can emerge..

- I don’t need to ask you for the details of painful experiences. Often, it’s enough for me to understand how you feel now and where you want to get to.

What people most often come to Regenesis with:

1. I can't stop thinking about this person, no matter how hard I try.

2. I want to stop feeling anxious and on edge when there's no obvious reason for it.

3. I want to stop criticizing myself and competing with everyone.

4. I'm tired of always having to be strong, take charge, and handle everything myself.

5.  I want to earn more and change my relationship with money.
